Why Ability Aid Support Began
Ability Aid Support began in 2022, and was built on our founder’s real world experience in hospitals, aged care and support work. Over this time, our founder saw how often participants had to repeat their story to a different worker every fortnight, and wanted to build something that felt more personal and consistent.
As a registered NDIS provider, we understand that every individual has unique needs. That’s why we work with you to set up customised support plans that align with your NDIS goals, respect your choices, and empower you to live life on your own terms.
We are a deliberately small team, currently supporting around 30 participants, with most new participants coming to us through a referral from a support coordinator or another participant. Being small is what allows us to keep the same support worker with you on an ongoing basis, and to genuinely get to know you, your routine, and your goals.
Compassionate Nursing Care for the Cranbourne Community
We understand that accessing medical support can be a barrier for many NDIS participants, and this is why in-home nursing care has become such a vital service.
At Ability Aid Support, we have Registered Nurses who are well trained and ready to provide in-home clinical care, including wound care, PEG feeding and enteral care, medication administration, and support for chronic health conditions. We can arrange regular visits, or work around the personal schedule of each participant.
Although we do not provide allied health services, we’re happy to work alongside your existing allied health team, following the care plans and strategies they’ve put in place.

Fostering a Strong Connection with the Same Support Worker
Consistency is one of the biggest reasons participants choose to stay with us. We do our best to keep the same support worker with you on an ongoing basis, so you’re not re-explaining your routine, your medication, or your preferences every few weeks.
Because all of this comes from one provider, a single visit can often combine several types of support. A worker can help with personal care, put a load of washing on, and take you to an appointment, all in the same shift, rather than juggling separate bookings with different organisations.
If your regular worker is ever unwell or on leave, we will let you know in advance, and make sure whoever steps in is fully guided by your care plan.
What Support Costs, and How It Is Funded
NDIS-funded supports are billed in line with the NDIS Price Guide. Private clients receive a fixed rate with GST added. Either way, you’ll get a free, no-obligation quote and a free consultation before anything is booked, so there’s nothing to be surprised by later.
If you’re not sure whether your plan covers what you need, that’s exactly the sort of thing we’re happy to talk through with you.
