Moving In, or Bringing Care In
Moving into residential care changes everything at once: the address, the bed, the kitchen, the people in the corridor, the shape of the day. In return, somebody is on site at three in the morning.
Bringing care in changes very little. Your father keeps his own bed and his own street, with support fitted in around agreed hours.
A few concrete things point to which option is right for you: whether the nights are safe, whether falls are happening between visits, and whether the person doing most of the caring still has the capacity to keep going. When those answers point toward residential care, we’ll tell you.
Most families ringing us are well short of that line. Their list is shorter: the shower, the tablets, a proper meal, a lift to appointments.
Who Ability Aid Support Is, and Who It Answers To
Ability Aid Support was founded by a Registered Nurse in 2022, after years across hospitals, aged care and support work. The business supports approximately 30 people today, and around 90% of new clients arrive as a referral from someone already using the service. Ability Aid Support is a registered NDIS provider and meets all NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements, which is what our disability support services in Noble Park are delivered under. Two Mornings a Week, or Around the Clock
Most arrangements begin small, two or three mornings a week, and grow only if they need to. What a worker can take on in a Noble Park home:

What a Registered Nurse Can Do in the House
What usually decides whether home is still workable is clinical rather than domestic: a dressing changed every second day, medication that needs giving rather than leaving on the bench, a feeding tube, a catheter somebody has to manage. This is where our clinical experience counts most, keeping people at home through needs that would otherwise mean a facility.
Our nursing care services in Noble Park are led by Registered Nurses and delivered in the home: wound care and dressing changes, PEG feeding and enteral care, medication administration, catheter and continence support, and monitoring of long-term conditions. Because the clinical work and the everyday support come from one team, you deal with one roster.
Our in-house team is built around Registered Nurse-led clinical care and hands-on support work. If your parent already sees an occupational therapist, physiotherapist, speech pathologist or behaviour support practitioner, our workers follow the programs and equipment set-ups those clinicians put in place, and report back what they notice at home.
No Package, No Waitlist, and What That Costs You
Support here is paid for in one of two ways. Where the person has NDIS funding, services are billed in line with the NDIS Price Guide, so the scheme sets the rate. Otherwise the support is paid for privately at a fixed rate with GST added. The consultation and the written quote are free and carry no obligation, and the hours, schedule and type of support are agreed before anyone is rostered. Payment is due in full, invoice by invoice.
One thing to check before comparing us with anyone else. Ability Aid Support works alongside the NDIS and privately funded care, separate to the government aged care system, so there’s no ACAT assessment involved in starting with us. Where a subsidised package is genuinely the better fit, and for plenty of families it is, that road starts at My Aged Care instead. What we can do is begin without any of it: no assessment, no eligibility test, no waiting list.

The Streets We Cover, and When Someone Answers
We work across Noble Park and Noble Park North, and out through the City of Greater Dandenong. Our workers are in the area every week, around Buckley Street, Heatherton Road and Frank Street.
A regular worker is assigned to each person and kept there. If they are unwell or on leave, you get told before the shift rather than after it, and whoever covers arrives having read the care plan.
